Sean "Diddy" Combs' disdain for the Fox Network smash hit "Empire" appears to be growing by the day.

The St. Louis Post American reports the hip hop legend is rumored to be doing "everything he can behind the scenes" to take some of the luster off Lee Daniel's runaway hit.

According to the newspaper, the celebrity blind item site "Crazy Days and Nights" recently ran a piece that seemed to be about Diddy.

"This A+ list mogul/reality star who really wants to be a rapper won't speak out publicly against this new show, but is making sure behind the scenes that people know he is against it," the site wrote.

The post goes on to add one of the star's biggest objections is the fact that a lot of his financing comes from people who consider the show to be hateful to the hip hop industry and he is subtly seeking to let fans and supporters know they won't be getting any funding for future projects as long as they are on board with it.

It's not as though the "Mo Money, Mo Problems" rapper has really gone out of his way to hide his feelings. Earlier this season, rumors swirled that he banned his son, 23-year-old Quincy, from appearing on the show in what was thought to be a recurring role.

Around that same time, rumors ran rampant that Diddy was thinking of suing the creators of the show, contending that its storyline was a rip-off of his life story.

"Empire" tells the tale of a family that owns its own record label and the lengths some of them are willing to go to keep the business in what they view as the hands of its rightful owners.

The show stars Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon and Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon.
