After appearing on the series "Homeland" and Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro's blockbuster "Pacific Rim," actor Diego Klattenhoff, who plays Donald Ressler on NBC's "The Blacklist," knows a thing or two about villains.

The 35-year-old native of Nova Scotia has a lot to say and he's dishing on who are some of his favorite villains on the hugely successful "The Blacklist."

As fans gear up for the highly anticipated third season, Klattenhoff named Anslo Garrick and The Stewmaker as his favorite bad guys, Fashion and Style reports.

Also, F&S also pointed out a few more interesting facts about Klattenhoff:

He reportedly also told The Chronicle Herald that he grew up "in the middle of the woods" in the Woodfield-Moose River area, which is southeast of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

The actor knows his alcoholic concoctions -- after moving to Toronto at the young age of 19, he worked as a bartender before his acting career catapulted into TV and film. During this time, he was also studying theatre in the city.

His big break was in Tina Fey's 2004 hit teen movie "Mean Girls," where he played Shane Oman alongside Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Despite starring on a hit TV series, he didn't tune into the tube during his childhood, F&S adds.

"I didn't really watch much because we only had two channels," Klattenhoff told Anthem magazine. "We grew up watching a lot of hockey. Everyone at school was talking about 'Friends,' 'The X-Files' and 'Seinfeld,' and we just didn't have those channels at the time. We kind of grew up missing out. Or, a lot of the time, it was about watching rented movies. If we ever went to the theater in town, we made the most of what we had. We spent most of our time outside."
