The cast of “Falling Skies” was interviewed during the London MCM Expo, which is more popular as the MCM London Comic Con, according to Screen Rant.

Will Patton, who plays Captain Weaver, Moon Bloodgood, who plays Anne Glass, and Drew Roy, who plays Hal Mason, teased the press by hinting that there could be some major character deaths, especially now that the humans might even resort to hand-to-hand combat against a more advanced enemy.

“I think viewers will definitely cry at the moment,” Patton revealed. “If they edited it right.”

Moreover, the new aliens that saved Tom from an unfortunate demise were reportedly going to play a “pivotal” role in the plot for “Falling Skies” Season 5, which will include the final battle for Earth, as well as have a “very specific relationship with a certain character.” The first episode may even discuss these aliens’ back story, in order to remove the shroud of mystery that covers them, including the actual name of their species.

As Sarah Carter, who plays Maggie, revealed during Wondercon 2015, as seen in the YouTube clip, Maggie will also be able to exercise her “super powers or super strength.” These newly discovered powers of hers “makes her quite valuable to the Second Mass and puts her out in the field in way that she really appreciates and the Second Mass really appreciates.”

“Falling Skies” Season 5 will feature the final battle between humanity and the invading fish-head aliens, the Espheni Overlords, along with their creepy alien minions. The TNT show’s fifth season just might be its last.

As seen in the Season 5 trailer, Tom Mason, played by Noah Wyle, says, “This is the time for overkill,” while raising an alien head that he chopped off from a burnt Skitter, which is an intelligent, humanoid, insect alien.

The Second Mass, a group of rebels who have survived the apocalypse, had just destroyed the moon-based power core of their alien invaders, primarily due to great sacrifice that Lexie played at the very last minute. The rebels have now reached their limit, especially after being mutated, imprisoned, and tortured for four years.

Plus, Tom was also rescued by a group of new, “beautiful” aliens that have never been introduced into the “Falling Skies” storyline before. According to the report, season 5 will be answering all of the fans’ questions, as it will reportedly bring the “Falling Skies” series franchise to a close.

“Falling Skies” season 5 will return to TV on June 28, Sunday, with its first episode, entitled, “Find Your Warrior.”
