Shortly after "Dancing with the Stars" season 20 wrapped up, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff of "The Bachelor" issued a joint statement to announce that they have decided to part ways.

Bischoff and Soules “have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement,” the statement read.

“They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends,” it added.

Before releasing the statement, Bischoff told Hollywood Life during the 2015 Radio Disney Awards that Soules was always “so tired” every time he went home from “DWTS.” “He just comes home, like, sorry babe,” she said. “I am so tired.”

Soules chimed in and confirmed that, even when at home, he still had to work hard for his “DWTS” spot. “I come home – we tape certain portions of the rehearsal on my iPad, and I watch that, study it, try to go through it, listen to the music by myself,” Soules said. “I have to go home and do a lot of homework every night.”

With regards to the quality time that he had with his then-fiancée, he revealed that things had “gotten worse” as he was able to sustain a spot on the show.

According to “The Bachelor” star, it was “hard” for him “to really focus on the dances,” while simultaneously nurturing his newfound relationship with Bischoff. He did mention, though, that despite the relationship troubles they were having at home, she was “supportive every step of the way.”

Now that Soules is officially single again, rumor has it that he is planning to get on “The Bachelor” a second time around, just like Brad Womack. “Chris has joked to friends that he would like to be ‘The Bachelor’ again and have another chance at love,” an insider told Hollywood Life in another report.

Womack first came on the show in 2007 and returned for a second chance in finding the right girl in 2011.

Another former “Bachelor,” Sean Lowe, had actually given Soules relationship advice prior to the latter’s participation in “DWTS.” Apparently, he expected things to be tough between Soules and Bischoff. “Spend as much time with your new fiancée as possible,” Lowe said. “Being on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is exciting and all, but the 12-hour dance rehearsals can place strain on the new relationship.”
