Another "Bachelor" couple has called it quits.

Just two months after millions of viewers watched Chris Soules propose to Whitney Bischoff on the Season 19 of ABC's "The Bachelor," the two have called off their engagement and announced their split.

In a joint statement released on Thursday, May 28, the couple described said their painful decision to break up was a mutual and amicable decision.

"Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement," the couple told Us Weekly. "They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey."

Mike Fleiss, the creator of "The Bachelor," also broke the news via Twitter, writing, "Sad news to report: @souleschris and @whitbisch are no longer engaged..."

Soules, who starred in the last season of the hit ABC reality TV show, proposed to Bischoff, a Chicago-based fertility nurse, in the March finale. She then supported him during his stint on "Dancing With the Stars" in LA. She then moved to Iowa, where he works on his family-owned farm.

However, she tweeted last week that she was back in Chicago, while he remained in Arlington.

Although the former couple claims that they are "supportive friends," inside sources reveal that their relationship hit a rough patch that they could not overcome.

According to the source, "Chris had gone Hollywood, and was becoming very arrogant. And it got worse after appearing on 'Dancing With The Stars.' Whitney didn't like the change in Chris, and he just didn't care. His ego was out of control."

In addition, the insider told Radar, "Chris refused to buy Whitney a plane ticket to see him in Iowa, forcing her to drive from Chicago. ... After arriving, it became obvious that Chris didn't care about the relationship."
