June is Immigrant Heritage Month. Events throughout the U.S. will take place to help celebrate diversity and to tell stories about American culture.

Tuesday will feature two events held in New York.

The Immigrant Heritage Month Party hosted by Eurocircle NYC will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square on the 16th Floor from 6-7 p.m. The hotel is located at 251 W. 48th Street.

The New York Immigration Coalition 2015 Gala will be held at the Capitale restaurant from 6-8:30 p.m. The event begins with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by the dinner and program at 7 p.m. Maria Castaneda, the secretary treasurer of the 1199 Service Employees International Union, and Dr. Ram Raju, president and CEO of New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, will be honored at the Gala. The restaurant is located at 130 Bowery, between Grand Street and Broome Street.

On Wednesday, three different events in three different cities will be held.

In Boston, a free Citizenship Workshop will take place at the Goodwin Procter from 4-7 p.m. at 53 State St. The event will allow future U.S. citizens to fill out applications for citizenship and be assisted by volunteers and lawyers. Those who are interested are asked to register for the event.

In Austin, Texas, the La Americana: Immigrant Heritage Month 2015 event will be held at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin starting at 6:30 p.m. At 7:10 p.m. the 2008 documentary "La Americana" will be shown. Following the movie, a moderated discussion will take place, followed by some questions from the audience. The Alamo Drafthouse is located at 1120 South Lamar Blvd. Interested guests can RSVP on the event's website.

In Philadelphia, a lecture titled "Maximizing Your American Experience - Life Stories of Succeeding in a Foreign Environment" will be held at the Free Library of Philadelphia from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Free Library of Philadelphia is located at 1901 Vine Street. The event is free and interested guests can register through Eventbrite.

On Thursday, Chicago will focus on immigration and entrepreneurship. At 7 p.m. at TechNexus, 20 North Upper Wacker Drive, there will be a group of panelists. One will be Tonantzin Carmona, a Latina who is the Deputy Policy Director of the Office of New Americans in the Chicago Mayor's Office.

Carmona grew up in Little Village, and she has worked to help immigrants.
