The icons of idiocy are back in 'Dumb and Dumber To,' and this time, legendary funnyman Jeff Daniels says Harry and Lloyd will be making the audience laugh more. Pop2it reports that the Emmy winner is ecstatic over working with comedian Jim Carrey again, whom he refers to as a 'comedic genius.'

In an interview with "Today," the 58-year-old actor said it was great to work with co-star Jim, and that he is hoping the sequel will be well-received by audiences like the first installment. "Dumb and Dumber" has had a cult following over the years, and the second installment is a long overdue gift for long-time fans.

Daniels is all praises for his co-star Jim, saying, "I've been lucky, the people I get to work with. I think Jim's got a one-of-a-kind gift, I think he's a comedic genius. To marry what I can do with him is a joy, we blend well together," according to Today Entertainment.  He added, "We've become friends over the years and I think that translates into Harry and Lloyd. We're still middle-aged and still that stupid, that's a given. It was a joy to make and I hope it's funnier than the first one."

The "The Newsroom" star says he was stunned by his recent Emmy win for his role as Will McAvoy in the series, and joked that "Kathleen, my wife and I, we were there for the food," reports Pop2it. Going from a serious role as an intense news editor to a middle-aged idiot is not a problem for Daniels, as he describes the shift as an, "intellectual free-fall," reports moviefone.

Latin Post has previously reported that Dumb and Dumber 2 that Jennifer Lawrence will be making a cameo appearance in the film, portraying the younger version of Freda Flecher, the woman with whom Harry slept with, and possibly have an offspring. The Hunger Games star is reputed to be a big fan of the 1994 hit, as she even reportedly knows Dumb and Dumber lines by heart.

Movie Insider notes that the much-anticipated sequel will hit theaters November 14.
