Apple's second-biggest event in the year, the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2015, will feature an opening keynote speech where CEO Tim Cook and others will preview everything Apple has to offer now, and hint at what's coming in the future.

Here's how to get the live stream video, the date and time to tune in, and a preview of what Apple is expected to announce.

WWDC 2015 Keynote Video Live Stream

Date & Time

WWDC 2015, tagged by Apple as the "epicenter of change" this year, will take place starting on June 8 at Moscone West in San Francisco, California. While the conference takes place all week, ending on Friday June 12 the most important aspect of the gathering, for consumers and tech junkies, is the keynote speech.

The keynote speech will kick off WWDC 2015 starting at 10 a.m. PDT, which is 1 p.m. EDT and noon central time.

Link & Requirements

You can watch the live stream video of the WWDC 2015 keynote speech starting at that time at Apple's official live event page here: apple.com/live.

However, because this is Apple on its home turf, there are some system requirements you'll want to be aware of.

First off, any live streaming of the keynote video requires Safari running on an Apple operating system. So if you're on a PC, for example, but own an iPhone or iPad, switch to your Apple mobile device and watch it on the small screen.

Specifically, you must have Safari on iOS 6.0 or later or on a computer, Safari 6.0.5 or later running on Apple OS X 10.8.5 or later.

One final option is watching the keynote live stream on your Apple TV. But it must be a second or third-generation Apple TV, and you have to have Apple TV firmware version 6.2 or later running on it. Time to check on your Apple devices and make sure they're updated!

WWDC 2015 Keynote Live Stream Preview

A full preview of what is expected from Apple's keynote at WWDC 2015 is available here. Here's a quick summary:

Apple will likely announce the retail progress of its Apple Watch, while releasing a developers tool kit that will allow Apple Watch to run apps without the iPhone.

The company is also expected to release details on the upcoming updated iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 operating systems, though whether those OS's are available for public beta immediately is still up in the air.

The biggest announcement anticipated from Apple is the launch of Apple Music: a Spotify-like subscription service that is expected to offer curated playlists or "DJ" channels from Apple-owned Beats music CEO and industry impresario Dr. Dre -- along with other stars like Drake.

Unfortunately for Apple TV fans, it doesn't look like Apple is ready to show off the next generation of set-top boxes, which is rumored to include live content from cable channels and to become the central hub of Apple's Internet of Things system, HomeKit.
