Former middleweight boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. bought a luxury pad in Studio City. Just less than two months after Chavez' loss to Andrzej Fonfara, he seems ready to move on with his life.

The 29-year-old boxer's new home comes with a $2.8 million price tag, Los Angeles Times reported.

The boxer shed only $80,000 from its asking price of $2.88 million from its April listing price, yet the former owner scored a punch as it last changed hands two years ago for less than $900,000 only, noted the Times, citing property records.

The Mexican boxer's new dwelling place boasts a relaxing abode while living in style. Architectural details like oakwood flooring, use of hanging pendant lights and elegant floating staircase keep the home atmosphere upbeat.

The 4,788-square-foot pad consists of six bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, formal living room, dining room, a lounge with a wet bar, three-sided fireplace, an open floor plan, a yoga studio and "mirrors with built-in televisions."

The contemporary residence of the young fighter reportedly includes a modern kitchen that comes with a huge center island.

Outside, a pool equipped with spa and an outdoor kitchen near an entertainment area livens up the summer mood.

Moving On With a New Plan

Being the son of a famous boxer, Chavez knows the sport too well. After his April defeat against Fonfara, the Mexican boxer vowed that he will bounce back from the recent setback. He hired Robert Garcia as his new trainer.

The new boxing coach was up for the challenge, according to The Orange County Register .

"I want to be able to prove that I'm capable of bringing somebody back somebody that people don't believe in...People seem to forget what I did with (Marcos) Maidana, who was on the verge of retiring and come back to become a superstar. These are the challenges that I like and I think Chavez will be a perfect one," Garcia told the site.

The young Chavez will face Mexican middleweight Marcos Reyes in Texas on July 18, and the fight will be aired via Televisa.
