An American art enthusiast got exactly what he hoped to get -- and then some.

After paying 100 Euros ($140) to enter an online charity raffle for a Pablo Picasso painting worth millions, Jeffrey Gonano found out he was the lucky winner out of the 50,000 participants.

The winning ticket, which was 747815, was selected by a computer system, NBC News reported. The drawing helped raise money for an association that seeks to preserve the city of Tyre in Lebanon. According to a report dated from Dec. 18, the goal of the raffle was to bring in roughly $5 million in fundraising efforts. Considering that the painting was only worth $1 million, they were probably able to make a decent amount of money with the proceeds, even if that number did not reach or exceed $5 million.

The winner did not say he will be selling the painting and he reportedly intends to place it in his living room. According to ABC News, he may decide to lend the painting to a museum at some point.

The painter's grandson, Olivier Picasso, was the one who gave the official approval to sell the painting and apparently said that his grandfather would have been happy.

"Everything innovative would interest him," Oliver said. "I think that Pablo Picasso was a pioneer, pioneer in his personal life, in his sentimental life, in his creation."

The small drawing is about a century old -- it is marked from 1914 -- and the organization that initially purchased it paid slightly less than $1 million, NBC World News reported. Picasso was born in Spain in 1881 and lived until he was 91 years of age in 1973.
