Do you hate the anxiety that you feel just thinking about walking into your boss's office and letting him know that you are quitting? Or the loss for words that you suddenly experience when you are writing that resignation letter? Well, quitting a job on it's own is a nerve racking process so The Ladders brings you an app that does it for you.

Alex Douzet is the chief executive officer of TheLadders; a New York based Employment Company that produces apps like Quit Your Job. Although the iPhone app is meant to be funny, it could be a way to gather your thoughts as to why you're quitting and how you should go about it. Quit Your Job "takes users through a series of steps to determine why they are leaving and then crafts a text message that is sent directly to their boss."

"There's a lot of anxiety around the resignation process, so we used technology to ease the pain in that moment and make it seamless to breakup with your boss," said Alex Douzet. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that "about 2.3 million Americans" left their jobs last October. The workers citied dissatisfaction with career growth, compensation and feeling ignored.

Quitting a job also seems to be a New Year trend according to Douzet. "It always correlates with New Year's resolutions. People think 'I'm not happy and want to make a move,'" he said. After you have "quit your job," TheLadders recommend to browse another one of their apps called Job Search by TheLadders, which helps you find a new job based on your job profile and career goals. And it's free.

The company was actually inspired to create "Quit Your Job" after teaming up with designers to create the "BreakupText" app. The break up app allows users to leave a relationship via text message and it cost only 99 cents in the iPhone app store. Now that's just evil. Do you know the top level of jerk that breaking up through text will get you? It's right up there with breaking up with a person through Facebook, no bueno.

Douzet recommends that you of course have another job before you quit your current job. Do you recommend you have a new fling before you "text break up" too Mr. Douzet? Geez.
