It's out with the old, and in with the new for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Steve Ballmer, who is known as a passionate owner, went on "Conan" yesterday to unveil the newest Clippers logo.

Ballmer told host Conan O'Brien that the Clippers aren't always associated with the best memories.

"Let's face facts, you look back at the history of the Clippers, it's not a happy history," he said, according to ESPN. "This may have been a nutty thing, but the people know who the Clippers are. But the people want a new Clippers. They want a happy ending to the story. This kind of downtrodden thing with this kinda funny ruler. Boom! Let's switch it around!"

Ballmer added that the team is in a good place, and it is an "exciting time" to be following the Clippers.

"We have one of the top teams in the NBA, and now we have introduced a new look that is bold, edgy, powerful and truly representative of us turning the page and entering a brand new age," he said.

Ballmer, who brought the Clippers from previous owner Donald Sterling last season, paid $2 billion for the team. Sterling was ousted by the NBA after racist remarks was made public. He received a lifetime ban from the NBA, according to CNN.

Fox Sports reports that for those in the Los Angeles area, there will be a chance to get the new logo. Clippers members -- from past and present -- will be handing out free T-shirts with the new logo. Ballner, coach Doc Rivers, Cuttino Mobley, Lamond Murray and Ralph Lawler -- the voice of the Clippers -- will all be on hand giving out the shirt. Click here to find out where everyone will be.

The Clippers, who blew a 3-1 series lead in the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs against the Houston Rockets, are hoping that this new change will bring them a championship in the near future.
