Game designer and producer Hideo Kojima tweets that fans of the 'Metal Gear' series should play the latest chapter, 'Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes', on PS4 if possible.

Crave Online posts a neat translation of the 'Metal Gear' series creator's tweet in English, saying:

"At the end of next month PS4, the long awaited next generation console will be released in Japan. Ground Zeroes will also be released at the end of the month after that. Ground Zeroes will also be launch on current generation consoles, but I want you to play on PS4 if possible.

I was talking in an interview overseas and they told me: 'Next generation console? Here PS4 and ONE are already current generation.'"

With Sony PS3's 82 million-user install base according to Crave Online, sales for the last gen console version of 'Ground Zeroes' is expected to be far higher compared to the PS4's, which currently has an approximate of 3 million users.

However, Crave Online notes that the PS4 version is considerably better than the PS3 version in terms of graphics. No wonder Kojima suggest that the 'Metal Gear' series fanbase highly consider playing the upcoming title on the PS4.

'Ground Zeroes' is the latest in Kojima's 'Metal Gear' series which, according to Konami, takes place at a US facility in Cuba in the year 1975. The action/ tactical espionage operations game is the prologue to 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' which takes place nine years after 'Ground Zeroes.'

The prologue to 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' will come to US shores by March 18, 2014. PS3 and Xbox 360 users can grab the title for $19.99 while users of next gen game consoles PS4 and Xbox One would have to pay just a bit more at $29.99, says the title's webpage.

According to the title's official webpage, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are available for pre-order at Amazon in the US. UK gamers have more options, with pre-orders possible at GAME, ShopTo and GameStop.
