Looks like Rihanna is going in a different direction with her highly anticipated eighth studio album, titled "R8."

According to a press release from Chile's PuntoTicket, via That Grape Juice, the Barbadian singer's previously released tracks, "FourFiveSeconds," "B***h Better Have My Money" and "American Oxygen," are just "promotional singles."

While it is possible that the upcoming record might not feature the three songs, EDM icon Giorgio Moroder, who penned hits for artists like David Bowie, Kylie Minogue and Donna Summer in the past, recently revealed that he would like to work with RiRi in the future.

"Beyoncé did a short version of ['Love to Love You Baby'] in 'Naughty Girl,' but I think the girl who could really deliver it is Rihanna," he told Us Weekly.

"She is so sexy and if she ever asks me to write a sex song that may be different, maybe not with moaning but a different style, I am more than happy to do it," he explained. "She'd be perfect for a real sex song."

In addition, Rihanna might go back to her Caribbean roots for the followup to 2012's "Unapologetic."

Producer and founder of Mixpak Records, DJ Dre Skull, revealed to The Fader that the "Diamond" hitmaker has been contacting several dancehall reggae artists to collaborate with on her forthcoming LP.

"I know firsthand and secondhand that she's been reaching out to a lot of people in the dancehall world," he said.

However, Skull explained that RiRi's latest project would not entirely be dancehall.

"I'm not suggesting it's gonna be [a dancehall album] but [her people] are excited about dancehall and to work in that sort of context," he said.

The Brooklyn native, who is in charge of the label that has Vybz Kartel as its client, then claimed the "Stay" crooner's team reached out to one dancehall artist in particular.

"They've reached out to Popcaan, but I've talked to a number of people in Jamaica that they've reached out to," he added. "I'm not suggesting that I know what will happen, but I do know they've talked to a bunch of artists that I know."
