Following the footsteps of Nirvana, Eric Clapton and Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus is ready to unleash her true voice on the history-making MTV Unplugged. The controversial singer unsurprisingly manages to pose in a state of undress on the poster for the upcoming show.

Cyrus shared took Instagram to share a snapshot of herself stripped down to only star-shaped nipple pasties, protruding false teeth, and a blonde bobbed wig. She also completed her bizarre look with a bright yellow necktie, glittery black gloves, and a feathery white skirt.

"@MTV PRESENTS MILEY CYRUS: MTV UNPLUGGED YALL check it out January 29th!" the singer wrote the following caption.

On the show, Miley Cyrus is expected to show more of her intimate and personal side, as well as to perform acoustic reinventions of her Bangerz tracks, including "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball."

Following the MTV appearance, the "Adore You" singer will kick off her Bangerz tour on Feb. 14 in Vancouver. She hints "our whole tour is literally based on animals" that "Ren & Stimpy" creator John Kricfalusi has designed "imaginative animals" for the tour.

In addition, Cyrus promises to give her fans some unique collectibles from the gigs.

"I'm a little bit of a hoarder, so I hope my fans become hoarders," she says. "I want to give them real things to collect. I'll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table."

She adds, "this is my mom's worst nightmare, because I always hoard things from when I go to concerts ... all the kids always want to keep the confetti, but I want to give them real things to collect."

Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged is set to air on Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
