After leaving rehab just last year, Lindsay Lohan has announced her return to the big screen during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on Monday afternoon, Jan. 20.

The Mean Girls actress hosted a press conference at the Social Film Lost in Park City, Utah to reveal her next big project: not only she will be starring in a movie, but also will be producing an independent movie.

"I've never had the honor of coming here before ... to bring something to the table, which is starting fresh for me," said Lohan. "It's a nice change to be back among people that are in the industry that I've been in since I was a kid."

The new film is called Inconceivable, which she described as a psychological thriller about a woman trying to reclaim something she lost. It is scheduled to begin shooting in March, and no director or costars have been announced.

"The money was very easy because Lindsay is still considered a star among independent financiers," said Randall Emmett, the chief executive of Emmett/Furla Filma. "I went to the insurance company and they met with Lindsay."

"They put a policy in place where everybody worked together to make it happen. It was actually easier than you might think," he added.

"It's nice to have someone like Randall give me the opportunity and put his faith and trust in me. It's time for me to get back on set," Lohan expressed her excitement.

Lindsay Lohan's press conference will be included in her upcoming reality documentary series Lindsay, which is set to premier Mar. 9 on Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network.
