The conservative Christian Duggar family of the once hit TLC series "19 Kids and Counting" took a stand against gay marriage on June 26 following the Supreme Court ruling that same-sex marriage is legal and constitutional for all 50 states.

Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar posted this statement to their Facebook page, "Praying for our nation today," along with a photo quoting Chronicles 7:14:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land," reads the passage.

The Duggar Facebook post garnered nearly 24,000 likes, but it also received backlash.

Yvonne Yeager commented, "Wait! So, people who allowed their son to sexually abuse their daughters are against two consenting adults getting married because they are the same gender. I've lost respect and patience for these people."

"Dear LGBT Community -- Don't worry -- the same people that covered for their child molester son are praying for your eternal souls," another commenter said.

Josh Duggar, the former executive director of the Family Research Council, has been silent about the Supreme Court ruling. In April, he was criticized for saying that the fight for gay marriage equality is an effort to "silence" Christians.

TMZ reported earlier this month that moving trucks were spotted outside Josh's Maryland house where he, his wife Anna, and their three children have lived since 2013. The "19 Kids and Counting" star moved to the suburb for an easier commute to his Family Research Council job.

There's nothing keeping Josh in the D.C. area since he resigned from his position at the Family Research Council in the wake of his molestation scandal, though he was considering a run for the presidency as a conservative candidate in the 2016 or 2020 election.

Josh and Anna have likely settled into a house they purchased earlier this year in Arkansas near the Duggar homestead, according to TMZ.

On June 23, Josh posted the Instagram picture below of him and Anna with the caption, "Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife @annaduggar...we're also celebrating our 7 year engagement anniversary today!"

TLC has not made an official announcement whether or not it will bring back "19 Kids and Counting."
