“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” the episodic prequel to the 2001 satirical teen comedy “Wet Hot American Summer,” will be streaming on Netflix on July 31.

The teaser, which features a snootily provocative Kristen Wiig and Elizabeth Banks borrowing a diaphragm from the camp nurse, has just been released.

As evidenced by the racy “Porky’s” meet “Meatballs”-like trailer, this David Wain-directed series will feature an impressive cast including (aside from Wiig and Banks) Jason Schwartzman, Jordan Peele, Michael Cera, Josh Charles, Chris Pine, Lake Bell, Jon Hamm, and even "Weird Al" Yankovic.

Writer/director Wain, who is known for his work on the irreverent Adult Swim medical drama parody “Children's Hospital,” is hopeful that “Wet Hot American Summer” gets a life even beyond its upcoming Netflix release.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, the 45-year-old sketch comedy veteran said, “I think there’s plenty more to do. If it all works out, it’d be great."

Although it has been well over a decade since Wein dealt with this raunchy material, there was no problem getting everybody back into the silly groove of the new show.

“We just basically set a date and said, okay whenever anyone’s free during that time, come on over and we’ll shoot,” said Wain, adding that, “it was just sort of getting the whole machine up.”

The new series is also acting as something of a reunion for Wein’s comedy pals. “We’ve kept in touch, but now this group’s together in this way, playing these characters back in this world of this summer camp,” he says. “It felt like we were back to where we were 15 years ago, and it all came back to life as if no time had transpired in between,”
