"House of Cards" is Netflix's flagship show that provided viewers with the original binge-watching dose of content in the beginning.

To this day, the show still remains immensely popular with fans and critics alike.

Season 3 recently dropped on the streaming platform and fans of the show got yet another dose of their favorite "anti-hero" politician Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his loveable treacherous wife, Claire (Robin Wright).

But the duo have cast aspersions across the nation on the evil glamour that politics can play in America's democratic nation of capitalists and now that the series is about to enter its fourth season, there is a notable new cast member coming aboard to challenge the Underwood's imperialistic authority, according to Deadline.

Neve Campbell, who rose to fame with her role on the Fox series "Party of Five" then quickly became the new scream queen in the 1996 Wes Craven film "Scream," has been cast to play a role on the series. This role has been listed as a series regular, as opposed to recurring.

Previous rumors for the series fourth season was that there was going to be a new power couple coming to Washington that will play as direct foes to the Underwoods. But Campbell's role in the series has not been disclosed at this time.

Spacey and Wright will also be returning to the series in their famous roles as the Washington power couple who were on the verge of a split in the Season 3 finale.

Filming for season four will begin this summer and will take place in Baltimore. It will be released on Netflix next year for another round of binge-viewing. No official release date has been set yet, but it will definitely be sometime in 2016.

This will also mark Campbell's first major commitment for TV roles since her stint on "Party of Five" back in the '90s. She will also be playing a role on the NBC comedy "Welcome to Sweden."
