Turns out that movies can now make a person look younger, as opposed to the classic style of only making actors appear older. New digital technology makes this possible and that is what has taken place in the new "Terminator: Genisys" film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, according to Entertainment Weekly.

This has played out before, namely with the most recent installment in the "Tron" franchise, where they recreated the younger version of Jeff Bridge's character. But now, they have not only recreated a younger Arnold; they have also recreated the iconic scene from the original "Terminator" film that shows his original time jump and his confrontation with the young punksters.

"The greatest compliment we could get is if people think we reused footage from the 1984 movie," film producer David Ellison told EW.

The reason is because they did not use the old footage, but rather digitally recreated the scene from scratch using new technology that pitted Arnold against himself. But it wasn't really two Arnold's during production but rather a stand-in, Brett Azar, for the 1984 Arnold who used the body technology that would eventually be digitally recomposed as young Arnold.

The iconic scene from the original shows the young Arnold's scene with the punksters going down, but it changes when old Arnold comes out to battle the future robot assassin.

Schwarzenegger also had some positive thoughts on the plot and development.

"I think it's very smart to use my age in this way," Schwarzenegger told EW. "It's very well thought-out."

Recreating the body image was an amazing challenge for the show though, considering Schwarzenegger's body language sang a different tune than that of Azar's.

"Arnold's body is so unique, we really had to deviate from the [body double]," Sheldon Stopsack, the visual effects supervisor for the film, told EW. "We digitally replaced Brett [Azar] for the majority of the shots in favor of creating realism and believability."
