If Apple is certainly going fully solar powered, then it won't be limited within their production spaces but also in their future devices like the upcoming iPhone 6.

Based on the impressive post made by Matt Margolis for Seeking Alpha, the giant tech company seems to be making the most out of their whopping $578 million contract with GT Advanced Technologies for sapphire materials. It was three months ago when both giant companies came to a certain agreement which up to now has remained audiences clueless of Apple's next plans with the partnership.

IBTimes AU edition reports too that before this agreement news emerged, there have been rumors that the next iPhone device will be made with sapphire glass with its casing wrapped up in a similar material too.

However, Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned that the company's much talked about iPhone 6 expected to be released this year should not be necessarily related to the sapphire glass rumors, BGR mentioned. Mr Cook was forced to divulge more information but remained consistent with the confidentiality of the details.

Apple Insider though recently wrote that the manufacturing partner of Apple which is Foxconn has successfully put together a minimum of 100 prototype future iPhone units that come in displays made out of sapphire covers. This could just possibly mean that such iPhones are all set for production in big numbers.

Going back to Mr Margolis' blog, Forbes reiterated one of the most amazing discoveries uncovered by the writer and that is the potential of a protective surface for the iPhone 6 that would work to help charge through solar power. In this way, it can help Apple maintain their devices light and thin by shedding off weight of the battery if they will push through with implementing built in solar panels in the coming devices like the iPhone 6.

Truly, Mr Margolis remained realistic when he said that it is not impossible for smartphones to be solar powered when it has been done on calculators ten years ago.
