“Avengers” co-stars Chris Evans and Elizabeth Olsen are rumored to be secretly dating each other. According to the rumor mill, the actor who plays Captain America and the actress who plays Scarlet Witch have actually been seeing each other for months now.

“Chris and Lizzie are definitely involved in some kind of ultra secret romance that is being kept under wraps while they shoot,” a tipster revealed to The National Enquirer, as reported by Hollywood Life. “The attraction between them has been there from day one.”

Although their alleged secret relationship may have started while filming “Captain America 3: Civil War,” the source claimed that Evans wants to keep his personal life under wraps while he is busy shooting one blockbuster after another for Marvel.

“Chris is paranoid about his womanizing becoming public while he is on this multi picture deal with Marvel,” the source added. “He is protecting his image and will bend over backwards to keep things quiet.”

That said, Chrizzie shippers will have to get used to not expecting these two celebrities to make a red carpet debut together anytime soon.

Evans, 34, was last romantically linked with Lily Collins, 26. Olsen, meanwhile, was also rumored to be dating “Thor” actor Tom Hiddleston only a couple of months ago while they were filming an upcoming musical, “I Saw the Light.”

The relationship with Evans -- if ever there really is one -- may have been hidden from the press, but Olsen’s rumored hook-up with Hiddleston made its way to headlines.

“They have been hooking up,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. Despite this, the report notes that they are keeping things “casual” and have no intentions of rushing things. Although they are portraying husband and wife roles for the musical film they are shooting, it would appear that they are in no rush to be labeled.

“She wants to make a new life for herself,” the source added. “She is having fun.”

Olsen and Evans have neither confirmed nor denied these dating rumors. However, considering that Evans does not want his private life broadcast to the world for everyone to feast on, fans may never know the truth.

With regards to what is taking most of their time nowadays, “Captain America 3: Civil War” has gotten a lot of buzz after Captain America, himself, announced via his Twitter page that Tom Holland has been officially cast as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

“Huge congrats to @TomHolland1996!!!” Evans wrote. “Well deserved. We are lucky to have you.”
