The United States will open the defense of its Gold Cup with a match against Honduras on Tuesday.

The Americans enter the tournament as the runaway favorites but must navigate the trickiest group of the tournament to manage the feat.

The U.S. enters the tournament on a run of four straight wins. This is the best Jurgen Klinsmann's side has played since the 2014 World Cup. The run includes big victories over the Netherlands, Mexico and Germany as well as a recent 4-0 win over Guatemala.

The U.S. looks primed for a good display of offense with Michael Bradley looking as good as he has in a U.S. jersey. He put up a scintillating run from one end of the pitch to the other on the game winning goal over the Dutch and made a pinpoint cross-pitch pass to Mix Diskerud that led to the tying goal against Germany.

If there is any concern for the Americans, it is on the backend where John Brooks has lived up to the billing of being a high risk, high reward player. His partners, Omar Gonzalez and Ventura Alvarado, have also been rather unstable at the back throughout.

What makes this point critical is that the team will be playing a Honduras side that knows how to beat the Americans. Honduras plays a physical game with speed and aggression. That could put a dent in the U.S.'s attempts to execute a gameplan filled with finesse and precision.

Honduras enters the tournament on a bit of a struggle with only two wins in its past seven matches. Both wins game against such minnows we the French Guyanas and El Salvador.

Prediction: The U.S. starts off strong and wins the game 3-1.

Start Time: 9:30 p.m. EST on July 7, 2015

The game will be available to stream online via Fox Soccer 2Go.
