Even if you don't need another reason to tune in to watch the 2014 Super Bowl, prepare to be even more excited; Queen Latifah has just been confirmed to sing patriotic song "America the Beautiful" during the pre-game festivities prior to kickoff.

Queen Latifah, who is 43-years old has already performed this song previously during the 2010 Super Bowl but this will be a more memorable and meaningful performance for the Garden State Native. DailyNews further notes that she was born in Newark and raised in East Orange - will be singing for a worldwide audience from her home state.

Last year, the Super Bowl raked in over 164 million viewers across the United States, the most watched program in history.

The actress, talk host and singer will join other performers which include the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bruno Mars during half time. Opera singer Renee Flemming will sing the national anthem with Amber Zion performing in American Sign Language, says Billboard.

Latifah, with off stage name Dana Owens, has just launched her own talk show called "The Queen Latifah Show," and most recently presided over a mass marriage ceremony of 33 couples at the Grammy's while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis sang "Same Love."

Previously, during the 2013 Super Bowl, it was Jennifer Hudson who sang "America the Beautiful" and was accompanied by children from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The elementary school had just had a mass murder tragedy where 20 year old Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty children along with six adult staff of the school

The pregame and half-time shows are part of the production with Ricky Kirshner producing the show. The Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, 3:30 pm at the MetLIfe Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. and will be televised live on fox.
