"Star Wars" may be taking over Comic-Con for one day, but new trailers for "The Force Awakens" will not be revealed.

Entertainment Weekly reported no new trailer, footage or clips are expected to be unveiled at the event. The news is a bit of a disappointment for fans who were already purchasing tickets for the big event. Instead the big "Star Wars" event will be a panel with cast members who didn't appear at the Star Wars Celebration presentation -- director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and producer Kathleen Kennedy. The panel will include lots of "behind-the-scenes" stuff, according to EW.

The next trailer for the film will likely be released in the fall. This shouldn't be a surprise as the first trailer was released in December and four months later Disney released a second one. The marketing team behind the film has used a number of outlets, including magazines and photos revealing new characters to generate interest and buzz. Though, ever since "Episode VII" was announced and before any marketing, fans have been eagerly awaiting the film.

The lack of a trailer at Comic-Con is not a big surprise as Disney has its own big expo, D23, in August. The studio is already planning a huge event for the film and will likely have more news regarding plot and perhaps a poster for the film. Disney not only denied Comic-Con a trailer but also decided not to bring any "Avengers" to the San Diego event, disappointing many fan boys.
