Being a celebrity comes with a hefty price tag and for Kanye West, the price is $250K.

Kanye West has reportedly paid his Beverly Hills assault victim $250,000, ensuring that the 18-year-old will keep quiet and won't go ahead in filing a battery charge against the rapper, according to Mail Online.

The 'Yeezus' rapper became the subject of an investigation after he allegedly chased an 18-year-old guy into a doctor's office and punched the teen in defense of fiancée Kim Kardashian. The agreement between West and the 18-year-old victim will make it difficult for the District Attorney to pursue a case against the rapper, as there will no longer be a willing witness to prove guilt, reports  Ace Showbiz.

In a previous news piece, Latin Post described that the couple encountered trouble early January, when an 18-year-old guy assaulted Kim with racial slur, calling the reality TV star a "nigger lover."

The incident began with Kardashian arriving at a location for a meeting with West, a horde of paparazzi tailing her. The victim behaved gallantly at first, opening the door to the building for Kim and cursing the paparazzi with racial and homophobic obscenities for bothering her.

But when the starlet admonished the teen for his disrespectful language, he turned his aggression towards her, screaming, "F--k you b---h. Just trying to help you. Shut up n----r lover, stupid slut," according to Daily Mail.

When West finally appeared to rescue his lady love, the offensive teen ran to a chiropractor's office in the building, with the couple hot on his heels. In the office, West allegedly punched the victim while Kim reportedly yelled, "We have it all on tape!" continues Daily Mail.

Had the case been pursued and tried in court, West will most probably win the sympathy of the jurors, and the resulting sentence will most likely tip in favor of the rapper on the account that the offensive teenager had been verbally abusive against the reality starlet and the rapper.

The offensive teen victim reportedly asked for a larger settlement sum with West, but has agreed to settle with $250,000, reports the International Business Times. Kanye has yet to release a statement confirming the battery incident and the $250K settlement.
