A photo allegedly taken by Samsung's next generation flagship device's rumored 16MP camera has been leaked online.

A recent @evleaks tweet shows an image allegedly shot with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5. The photo (see below), which has been shared by @123fliptest on Flipboard, has since been removed but EXIF data reveals that the image was taken by a Samsung SM-G900V.

According to GSM Arena, it is very likely that Samsung SM-G900V is the Samsung Galaxy S5, with V standing for Verizon. GSM Arena has previously suggested in another report that a Samsung SM-G900F which has been touring across benchmarks, was the S5 - with 8974AC, 2.5GHz and a 16MP shooter.

Aside from the model number, other information gathered from the EXIF data includes an f/2.2 aperture and a focal length of 4.6mm for the camera, notes GSM Arena.

Rumors regarding the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy S5 have been plentiful and constant. But the one rumor that seems to stand out among the pile is its alleged 16MP rear camera with ISOCELL technology.

The integration of ISOCELL technology onto the S5's camera will allow for better photos even in a low light environment, should rumors hold true. Samsung has also been rumored to add in Optical Image Stabilization onto its flagship device's camera.

The upcoming S5 is also expected to come with a fingerprint sensor - much like Apple's Touch ID technology, reports Apple Insider. However, it is not clear whether such biometric technology will also serve as an unlock feature like the rival device.

Incidentally, Samsung Galaxy S5 is also believed to come in two versions: Standard and Prime, Apple Insider quotes KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Unlike the iPhone 5 though, which comes in metal-framed 5s and polycarbonate 5c, both S5 Standard and Prime will allegedly be housed in plastic shells, claims Kuo.

Nevertheless, Kuo notes that both variants will most likely come with the now buzzed-up 16MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.
