The "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 premiere date has been announced.

ABC's most popular show will be returning on Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. When we last saw the gang, "it was revealed that Frank (Charlie Weber) was the real killer of Lila (Megan West). The plot twist; however, was that Frank was committing the murder for Sam (Tom Verica) — Annalise's (Viola Davis) ex-husband — who was calling in a favor," iDigitialTimes reports.

So what will Season 2 bring? According to the Hollywood Reporter, there are surprises in store for Season 2. Star Viola Davis, who is also in the new movie "Suicide Squad," talks about a possible romance between Frank and Annalise.

"When you explore the kind of unusual relationship -- like with Bonnie and Annalise -- those create the best OMG moments, especially when you think that a relationship may be going in another direction," she hinted. "It's a whole other mystery that's exposed that adds another layer to the character. It's also something I have never seen on network TV. Those types of relationships can only take place in Shondaland but I would love for that to be the case. I don't know what they are going to explore with the history of Rebecca and Lila in terms of Sam and these relationships with Lila. But Frank and Annalise? I'll go for it!"

"How to Get Away with Murder" Season 1 premiered with record numbers. According to TV Series Finale, the show attracted more than 9 million viewers. The numbers are expected to rise in Season 2.

It is not known when will "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 1 will appear on Netflix.
