Tyrese Gibson will join the cast of "Empire" for the second season, the popular Fox drama's creator confirmed.

The singer and actor posted an Instagram photo where he grabbed a screen shot of show creator Lee Daniels confirming the rumors.

"F* that I'm coming to get my girl back....... I wasn't gonna say s**t - Lee Daniels just made the announcement #EMPIRE SEASON 2 Jody back on his bull* - Taraji I mean Yvette I mean #Cookie I'm sorry I wasn't there #Curtains #DropsMicExitStageLeft," Tyrese captioned the post.

Daniels confirmed the news in an Instagram post of him and Tyrese together. He also dismissed rumors that said Daniels will no longer work on "Empire."

"Yes! Stop asking!!!#tyrese is coming on #empireseason2 And NO, I am not leaving my show! I just wrapped my 1st episode ... I got #richardpryor to do! It was so much fun directing our wonderful cast ... I miss and love them ALL... Sorta sad cause I'm not with them now but I'll be back for the finale!! In the meantime we got some bada** directors stepping in!!"

However, the show's writer and creator did not reveal what role Gibson would play in the drama series.

Meanwhile, Tyrese is promoting his new album "Black Rose" which is going to be his "last solo album," New York Daily News reports.

The "Signs of Love Makin'" singer recently received joint custody of his 7-year-old daughter Shayla and has been focusing on his personal life.

"I hate to disappoint my fans, but daddy duties is real for me on a very personal level," he said.

In the meantime, the singer has been performing songs from "Black Rose" on New York City trains to spread the word about his new album.

His album has made No. 1 on the R&B Billboard charts and is No. 1 on the top 200 charts, according to Tyrese's Facebook post. The song "Shame" is No. 2 on Billboard.

"Wow!! We did it!!!" he wrote.
