Academy Award-winning star Julia Roberts is offering her New York City penthouse, which she owns with her Emmy-nominated cinematographer husband, Danny Moder, on the market.

The actress, who captured the hearts of movie fans in the film "Pretty Woman," is selling her Big Apple apartment for $4.5 million, the New York Post reported. The unit's listing is handled by broker Alexa Lambert of Stribling & Associates.

Unit's stunning features

According to Variety, Moder and Roberts bought the unit in a hush transaction five years ago for $3,845,000.

The real estate blog obtained images of the unit that show a "U-shaped, two-unit combination, atop an 11-story full service" building within a New York village. Interior details may hint walnut wood flooring, a 25-foot long foyer, coat closets, a spacious main living room, a lounge, and  a dining space with access to the terrace. There is also a naturally-lit kitchen adorned with black and white floors, breakfast nook, and modern stainless steel appliances.

The next owners will also like the bedrooms that come with bathrooms. Another bedroom has an access to the terrace for wonderful views and morning sunshine.

The celebrity house also offers panoramic views of the city ranging from famous landmarks like the Empire State Building to the One World Trade tower.

Roberts' upcoming movies

The actress, who also starred in the "Pelican Brief" and "Erin Brockovich," is in New York as she shoots a movie with "Ocean's Eleven" co-star George Clooney, noted The Post. Clooney and Roberts will be appearing in a movie titled "Money Monster," which is being directed by Academy Award-winning actress, Jodie Foster.

Although the "Mirror Mirror" star is saying goodbye to her penthouse, she is still holding on to her other property in New York, which is reportedly being leased.

Fans of the stunning actress will see her in another intense thrilling drama, "Secret in Their Eyes," with Nicole Kidman, and it will hit theaters on October 23. The movie's screenplay was written by its director, Billy Ray, who also made the screenplay for the Tom Hanks-starrer "Captain Phillips," noted Variety in another report.
