Comic-Con this year in San Diego had some exciting stuff. But none more exciting than meeting the cast of "Supernatural" and the creative minds behind it.

TV Line reports executive producer Jeremy Carver revealed at the world famous event that some people will be coming back. He said they were fan favorites, "but they're coming back in surprising ways."

This could mean any number of different things, which includes the return of Bobby or Charlie. But none has been more anticipated than that of Sammy and Dean's father, John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

According to Collider, earlier this summer in June, Morgan opened up about what he would like to do with the character he left behind in the earlier years.

"I absolutely would love to go back. I haven't been on the show for 10 years, and I get asked about it in every interview and every time I leave my house," Morgan told Collider. "I went and did a 'Supernatural' convention, which I've always said no to. I went to Las Vegas and talked to 5,000 crazy-*ss fans. The show has been on the air for 10 years now, and I haven't done it for 10 years. They want me back."

But that doesn't mean he would want to just show up as a spirit from the underworld or a ghost. He wants there to be some relevance to the story and for there to be some closure for his character, who gave up his life to save his son.

"I don't want it to be a forced deal. I want it to be natural, and I want it to make sense for the story," Morgan said. "I would love for John Winchester to have some way to say goodbye, not only to his sons, but to the fan base who seems to be clamoring for him to come back."
