Prince Royce has tackled the Spanish-speaking market with his smooth sounds and created a huge fan following. Now, the Dominican crooner is hoping to win over -- and break more hearts -- within the English-speaking, bachata-loving demographic in the U.S.

Royce's new album, "Double Vision" is a project that the star has reportedly been anxious to complete since 2011 and he believes it will "take the public by surprise."

"Double Vision" features some heavy-hitters both in the English- and Spanish-speaking music worlds, including Puerto Rican, native New Yorker Jennifer Lopez and Cuban-American Pitbull, who hails from Miami.

With Lopez and Pitbull's influence, Royce was able to tap into another side of himself and "be a little more aggressive and way different," he said in an interview with EFE in Miami.

While Royce has found the right formula to his success, he wants to keep challenging and reinventing himself. Therefore, this "total makeover" of himself will show the public just that with his new sound.

"What excites me about this is that fans will see a Prince Royce they never imagined," Royce explained.

With 12 tracks that merge pop and R&B and a few Spanish words added in for good measure, his tropical flair still underlines his new music.

"It's a fusion of many things -- I hope people like it because they're in for a surprise," he said.

"Double Vision" hits shelves on July 24 and will feature a special bonus of four additional tracks that include "Lay You Down" and "With You."
