A new teaser for the reboot series of "The X-Files" has been released and there is even a warning that says "Viewer Discretion Advised" on it. Although the teaser clip is a quick view, it is very revealing to the die-hard fans that have followed the show religiously since its birth in the early '90s.

According to Deadline, the series will debut next year on Jan. 24, immediately following the NFC championship game on Fox. It will then turn around the very next night and air another episode in its regular Monday time slot of 9 p.m. EST.

"Are you ready for this Scully?" Agent Mulder (David Duchovny) asked Gillian Anderson's character in the teaser clip.

The teaser opened on what appeared to be some sort of disastrous situation and quickly cut to the show's flagship characters who haven't been seen together on the series in over a decade now, with the exception of a movie released in 2008.

The series will play directly to the fans of the original show and bring back most of its greatest characters. On the slate to return to the show are Duchovny and Anderson, as well as William B. Davis (The Smoking Man) and Mitch Pileggi (Agent Skinner).

The Lone Gunmen will also be resurrected in the series, presumably in the storyline that they faked their own deaths. The conspiracy theorists were an invaluable asset to Mulder and Scully in the original series and even gave the show some much-needed comical relief.

The clip aired during the season finale of Fox's other sci-fi hit drama thriller "Wayward Pines."

Deadline also reports that the series will be a six-episode event for the network. The reboot has not been confirmed for anything beyond this limited run at this point.
