The bodies keep adding up in the hit MTV horror drama "Scream." The next episode is titled "Betrayed" and will air next Tuesday on Aug. 4 at 9 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.

Although most of the episode descriptions have been vague, a few details are noteworthy for "Betrayed" and even lead to a few conclusions on what to expect, especially if you have been following the episodes every week.

What is known for sure is the new suspect is someone close to Emma, which drives her even farther into the spiral of the entire conspiracy. Her roots in the saga have been carefully laid out by her mother's involvement with Brandon James two decades ago, and now, the suspect is within her own personal sights.

According to Spoilers Guide, Emma learns this troubling news in the next episode.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the last episode led Emma to total emotional turmoil after her first sexual encounter was videotaped and leaked to the masses and went viral.

Not only was she horribly embarrassed, but she was also betrayed. It is her assumption that she was betrayed by the people she trusted the most, and that of course leads her to the "trust no one" theme set up in the original movie by Wes Craven in 1996.

If you trust no one, then you could potentially survive a horror film, or so the "Scream" lore goes. But that same creed also applies to virginity, which Emma cannot undo. But if the first movie is any indicator, that rule can be broken, and you can still survive though not unscathed.
