It has been a wild week for the Toronto Blue Jays, and it has just gotten better.

ESPN reports the Detroit Tigers traded pitcher David Price to the Toronto Blue Jays for left-handers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt. The Blue Jays, who could be the big winners in this year's trading deadline, recently traded for All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Price, who is 9-4 with a 2.53 ERA this season, will become a free agent. He was acquired by the Tigers' last season at this time. The Tigers' season hasn't gone as planned as they sit at 49-52, three games below .500 and fourth in the American League Central. They are 3.5 games back of the second wild card spot. General manager Dave Dombrowski said he will listen to offers on all potential free agents, including Yoenis Cespedes and closer Joakim Soria.

With the addition of both Price and Tulowitzki, the Blue Jays are expected to be a playoff team this year. According to MLB, the Blue Jays sit in third place in the American League East with a 51-51 record and are seven games behind the division-leading New York Yankees. They are currently two games out of the second wild card spot.

The Blue Jays have not made the post-season since they won the World Series in 1993.

The other centerpiece of the trade, Daniel Norris, was the Blue Jays' No. 2 overall pick in 2011. Norris made his major league debut last season and recorded his first major league win April 9.

What is not known is whether or not the Blue Jays will keep Price past this year.

Price has done well in Rogers Centre, going 7-0 with a 3.86 ERA during his time as a visitor.
