Bryan Cranston has had a few projects since starring in "Breaking Bad," such as "Cold Comes the Night" and "Godzilla." But this time, he's taking a stint behind the camera and developing a series set to premiere on Amazon Prime, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Cranston is no stranger to dramatic criminal shows that proudly display an antihero working to make his life right the best way he can, even if that means breaking a law or two to do so.

The new show on Amazon, "Sneaky Pete," stars Giovanni Ribisi ("Avatar," "Ted 2") in the title role.

Pete is a conman who gets out of prison and steals his former cellmate's identity for purposes of making a new life for himself. Of course, this leads his to even more trouble, and he gets roped into the family business. The "new" family business that is.

According to Variety, the family business is in bail bonds. Of course, this leads one to wonder what the original Pete did to get into prison, but that will have to wait until the premiere. The bail bonds business is plenty shady, which could involve running down criminals who don't show up for their court date. A bounty hunter seems to be the most logical fit here.

The series was originally in development for CBS television, but when they passed on it, Amazon came in and scooped it up. Considering it was originally courted for broadcast network television, you have to wonder if the show will take on the gritty content so inherent to cable and streaming TV shows.

The cast also includes Margo Martindale, Libe Barer, Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety and Shane McRae.
