Although the departure of Archie Panjabi's beloved character, Kalinda, was tough last season, fans of "The Good Wife" still have a lot to look forward to in Season 7, including the return of Michael J. Fox and guest appearances by Bridget Regan and Amy Irving.

According to a new report from TVLine, Bridget Regan of "Jane the Virgin" and "White Collar" will kick off the season premiere guest starring as Madeline Smulders, a plaintiff in an estate case.

Earlier this month, Regan tweeted a photo while she was on set at the CBS drama series. Series star Julianna Margulies also posted a photo on Facebook of Regan sitting in Alicia Florrick's new office, which could be a hint that Madeline may be one of Alicia's clients.

Entertainment Weekly also revealed that Emmy Award-winning actor Michael J. Fox is set to reprise his role on "The Good Wife" as Louis Canning next season. The "Spin City" star has been confirmed to appear in the Oct. 11 episode.

In addition, former "Carrie" star Amy Irving has also been cast to appear in this same episode playing an "iconic" photographer who is hoping to defend some of her work, reports EW.

Irving's character has been described as a striking and bohemian-looking woman. When the renowned photographer appears before a judge to argue on behalf of her work, it becomes clear that she is more concerned with her pending retrospective than on how the outcome affects her family. However, the question remains of whether she will be represented by Louis, Alicia, or another lawyer.

A few weeks ago, CBS revealed that "Extant" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan landed a regular role on the series as an investigator named Alex. Alicia will hire the calm and experienced hourly investigator presumably to work at her new firm. There is also speculation that Alex may also become Alicia's new love interest.
