Jason "Jace" Alexander has been arrested on felony charges for promoting and possessing obscene sexual performances by a child. The "Law & Order" director posted $10,000 bail and is now out, awaiting due process in court on Nov. 19, according to the New York Post.

The incident came about when Alexander, who is 50 years old and a resident of Dobbs Ferry, New York, was caught making a video available online that depicted a young girl, approximately 12-13 years old, stripping and masturbating.

The identity of the young girl has not been released, and there is no word yet as to whether or not the young girl has even been identified from the video.

Alexander allegedly uploaded the video in late June. The criminal complaint stated Alexander was in possession of the video and had promoted it through the online network.

An investigator for Westchester County District Attorney's office, Andrew Garcia of the DA's High Technology Crime Bureau, said Alexander was in possession of another video, which depicted another young girl, whose approximate age was between 6 and 8 years old, performing sexual acts on herself.

Alexander has many credits to his name in the TV arena, including directing over 30 episodes of "Law and Order" on NBC, 19 episodes of the popular FX firefighter drama "Rescue Me" and several episodes of "The Blacklist" and "The Practice."

He was recently working on his own series for DirecTV titled "Coop." The series was going to feature his famous mother, actress Jane Alexander, who is best known for her roles in "The Ring," "Kramer vs. Kramer," "The Blacklist" and "The Good Wife."

Jason is married to actress Maddie Corman ("Maid in Manhattan," "Mickey Blue Eyes"), with whom he has two children.
