The mother of Chris Brown's year-old daughter claims she's terrified over the prospect of leaving the child alone with the "Loyal" singer and is now petitioning a court to require that someone else always be around when the two are together.

TMZ reports Nia Guzman has formally filed legal documents requesting that Brown only be allowed supervised visitation. Previously, Brown filed documents aimed at establishing legal paternity and was thought to be on the verge of seeking joint custody, pending a judge's ruling.

New reports indicate that Guzman also plans to seek full custody of the child by arguing Brown is "too irresponsible" to co-parent on his own. Guzman believes he and his friends "all have substance abuse problems."

Reportedly, Brown is convinced Guzman's complaints are all just a ploy to get more child support money out of him. Either way, the two appear destined to appear back in court and before a judge.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for Brown, who recently lost more than $50,000 in valuables to burglars during a brazen, early-morning home invasion of his Calabasas residence.

Shortly after the incident, Guzman went on record in asserting she feels the heist was a result of the company that Brown keeps, friends she claims are gang members who have now turned on Brown. She added she simply doesn't want her young daughter to be a part of such a toxic environment.

Following the robbery, during which Brown's aunt was forced into a closet at gunpoint, his mother also admitted she thought the theft was an inside job. Sources told TMZ Joyce Hawkins has long been persistently warning her son about "no good-*ss friends."

Reports are Brown and his mother have been "beefing" for years about some of the company he keeps.
