Some defining moments from the original Thomas Harris novel "Red Dragon" are beginning to play out on "Hannibal" this season. Episode 10 is titled "And the Woman Clothed in Sun" and will air on NBC next Saturday, Aug. 8 at 9 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.

What has been so intriguing about this series from the beginning has been its stunning attention to detail, which puts that macabre style of Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) on display for the audience.

As evidenced in the last episode, Hannibal is still very much in the psychopathic game, getting a visit from Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), who is seeking his guidance on the "Tooth Fairy" case.

This Saturday, however, Hannibal will be in communication not just with Graham, but also the killer himself, Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage). It is very impressive for Hannibal to be able to swing such a venture, given that he is locked up in the Baltimore Mental Institute that Dr. Bloom runs, according to Spoilers Guide.

Suffice it to say that Dolarhyde reaches out to the incarcerated Lecter via telephone, and by some miracle, he gets a connection directly to Lecter's cell.

Meanwhile, Graham is busy investigating Dolarhyde's murder scene, where he retrieves the carvings that symbolize the "Great Red Dragon." This of course helps him to shed light on the killer, and he finds himself able to better understand the killer's complex psychopathy.

He then seeks another consult with Lecter, which leads him down a dark path. Graham feels himself becoming more powerfully bonded with Lecter and that could ultimately lead him to total self-destruction.

Graham finally gets help and guidance from Lecter's former psychiatrist, Bedelia du Maurier (Gillian Anderson), knowing she is the only one who can understand what he is going through and why it puts him in danger.

Fans of the original Harris series of novels might be able to note several differences in the TV series that are currently playing out on the network.
