"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is just months away, and the hype machine will likely continue to build in coming months. There is no doubt this film might wind up being more anticipated than the 1999 release of "Episode I - The Phantom Menace," putting greater pressure on the filmmaking team to deliver a top-end product.

The film's plot has been speculated on and rumored for months on end, but one of the major talking points for the film regards how this sequel will continue the Skywalker legacy.

To this point, there have been no revelations about Luke or Leia having progeny. The marketing department has kept a lid on the details, but that has not stopped fans from speculating about potential surprises.

The big rumor is that this film will center on a sibling rivalry. Whereas the "Original Trilogy" came down to a battle between father and son, it seems that this new set of films will move onto another familial spout.

So who are the siblings that will be battling?

Kylo Ren is slated to be the central villain of the series, and yet Adam Driver, the actor taking on the role, was reserved in labeling Kylo Ren as purely evil. According to IGN, "Driver revealed that he never felt that his character was evil, more that he firmly believes that he is 'in the right.'"

Moreover, rumor has it Driver kills Han Solo in the film but not before experiencing a melancholic moment on the Millennium Falcon.

This seems to hint of a previous relationship with Han Solo, likely as father and son.

This is furthered by the true identity of Daisy Ridley's Rey. Prior to the revelation of her name, most speculation about the film often referred to her character as Kira. It is still possible her full name is Kira Rey, thus matching with Kylo Ren in the first letters of both names. This would thus match with Luke and Leia's own names.

The story would not be completely new to the franchise as there were some Expanded Universe works that detailed the rivalry of Jacen and Jaina Solo, the offspring of Han and Leia. Jacen turns to the dark side and can only be stopped by his twin.

Of course, no one knows what the nature of Han and Leia's relationship is, heading into "The Force Awakens." However, this is certainly a potential narrative to keep tabs on.
