The winning ticket of the third largest Powerball jackpot was sold Thursday, August 16, for $337 million in Lapeer, Michigan, 45 miles north of Detroit.

While the news trucks have been covering the story arduously, it seems that the owner of the ticket has yet to come forward.

Peter Odish, a gas station attendant at the family-owned Sunoco where the ticket was sold, told the reporter that he had not a clue about the identity of the winner, and commented that was just as shocked as the rest of the 9000 residents of Lapeer.

When the Michigan Lottery told him the business would receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, Odish only commented that he didn't know what his family would use the money on, but that it would be put to good use.

Even the mayor was pumping gas at the overworked station, saying that "it's a great day" and that it would "probably be the busiest day for Sunoco. He told reporters that it was "money from heaven."

Aside from the news of the jackpot ticket, there were also eight tickets that matched five of the winning numbers, two of which were sold in Indiana.  The others were in Kansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Mexico, and Virginia.

As the owner of the jackpot ticket has yet to step forward, it may be some time before their identity is revealed, as it will be after they contact the lottery.
