2K Sports unveiled more details about the highly-anticipated WWE 2K16 video game during Gamescom 2015 on Wednesday in Cologne, Germany.

The World Wrestling Entertainment, through their official website, also confirmed the interesting features, including the return of the popular 2K Showcase and MyCareer mode along with online mode improvements.

Gamers will have the opportunity to revisit memorable events in WWE history or make their own story by creating their own superstar, who will try to rise to stardom from being an NXT wrestler until he or she becomes a WWE Hall of Famer. The 2K Showcase and MyCareer modes previously received positive reviews from fans.

"The respective story-based and career-driven modes will return in WWE 2K16, giving gamers the chance to relive legendary moments in WWE history or create some of their own," WWE noted. "Most notably, MyCareer will give players the ability to fight their way from the developmental ranks of NXT all the way into the WWE Hall of Fame."

Fans should also expect online mode improvements this year. According to the report, 2K Sports gathered feedback from gamers over the past several months, which they used to tweak several features of the game. There will be a new matchmaking system and will have better ways to play with other players from WWE Games community.

Based on the fan feedback that they gathered, the WWE 2K16 developers also promised to bring gameplay improvements to give into the demands of WWE 2K fans. New gameplay features were also listed on the report posted on WWE's official website.

"Changes will become apparent in the form of improved controls, new moves and submission holds, a new reversal system, a new pinfall system, improved AI, additional match types, new chain wrestling and a new system called working holds, which will affect a character's stamina based on how the maneuver is applied," WWE wrote.

The new wrestling video game also boasts dynamic entrances for a better pre-match gaming experience. A user-controlled character could attack his opponent even before the bell rings. And to make the game more realistic, the developers also added JBL to the broadcast team alongside Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler.

WWE 2K16, which has the biggest number of playable characters in franchise history, will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 27 in North America and Oct. 30 internationally. 2K Sports recently announced that gamers who will pre-order the game will get the two exclusive Arnold Schwarzenegger playable characters.
