Season 3 of "The Originals" will focus on a different aspect of the Mikaelson family by exploring the dynamic between Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) and their sires.

While speaking at the 2015 Comic-Con in San Diego last month, the executive producers of the popular vampire series revealed that the Mikaelson siblings will meet their offspring for the first time. However, it won't be pretty, as the sired vampires will come to New Orleans seeking power and vengeance.

"This season, specifically, as our Original heroes have finally put their own parents and their dysfunction to rest, their first line of children come to town with similar resentments and similar feelings of having been neglected, abused and just generally mistreated," teased showrunner Julie Plec during an interview with TV Overmind. "And so if you recall everything that our heroes did to vanish those that raised them, then you can only imagine what their first line of sire vampires would have to say about them as parents."

Likewise, EP Michael Narducci revealed that Season 3 will focus on "the first vampires who were ever sired in history." At least three new vampires will also be introduced in the new season.

Narducci went on to discuss a conflicting dilemma that Davina (Danielle Campbell) will face.

"I think that there is a definite threat from Davina and the witches," he said. "Especially in episode 2, we're going to see how that threat might play out," he added. "One of the things that she'll want to do is figure out a way to bring peace for her people...she will take very seriously her responsibility as a leader."

"But perhaps, those new vampires that come to town, will have a perspective on Davina, and say, 'you could be a great ally to us, and may be there's some things we could give you if you would join forces with us," Narducci said.

The new season of "The Originals" will premiere on The CW come Thursday, Oct. 8.
