The long-running CW horror series "Supernatural" has been a fan favorite for the network and Netflix subscribers for quite some time now. Currently, every episode of "Supernatural" from season 1 through 9 are available on the streaming platform. But season 10 is the one that fans have been awaiting patiently, but anxiously, ever since the finale in May.

According to What's on Netflix, the answer is not quite so simple. The CW network has been a little flimsy from year to year about releasing their shows for Netflix subscribers. In most cases, they have waited until the last minute to release them.

That being said, the DVD and Blu-Ray for season 10 of the show are set to be released on Sept. 8 this year, according to Comic Book. In a lot of cases, that means that the season doesn't get released for streaming for at least another month to boost their sales for the new season of DVDs.

If you take a look back at the progression from last year though, the network seems to be following the same lead with their DVD releases. Last year close to this time, What's on Netflix, reported that season 9 would be released on Netflix on Oct. 7.

The problem with that was season 10 was also set to debut on Oct. 7, which only gave fans a few hours to catch up on the entire season before the premiere. That was a hot sticking point for fans of the show last year, and if the same thing were to repeat again this year, there would likely to be a riot (not really).

Now, moving forward to this year. Season 11 will also debut on Oct. 7 this year on its new night, which leads fans to believe that is also the day that season 10 will premiere on Netflix for binge streaming. So if you have DVRs, you might want to record the show, binge watch the season, then go back and watch the premiere episode of season 11.
