Since splitting from superstar wife Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon hints he's trying to learn how to find pleasure in the little things in life.

Like the New Jersey estate, where he has since relocated and now calls home.

"I'm getting to know the neighborhood," Cannon told Us Weekly of his new Garden State abode. "It's really cool. To be able to have a lawn and a lake in the back - stuff like that. I grew up in the projects, so I didn't really get the opportunity to have any of that growing up."

After six years of marriage, Cannon filed for divorce back in January, and since then, both exes have seemed to make keeping busy part of their therapy for dealing with the breakup.

Currently, Cannon is in New York taping live shows of his "America's Got Talent" show, which also features judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Howard Stern and Mel B. In addition, he is also working on several other projects.

Meanwhile, the 45-yer-old Carey has embarked on a whirlwind romance with Australian billionaire businessman James Packer. Several media outlets have reported the two have been growing closer and closer, but that may all be about to change given reports that Packer was recently spotted at a charity event with his ex-wife Jodhi Meares.

Reports are Carey was "freaking out" and almost "blew a gasket" after hearing the news and seeing the photos.

"Mariah was furious when she saw pictures of her boyfriend arm-in-arm with his ex," said a source. "She is very upset."

Since the split, the 34-year-old Cannon has been briefly romantically linked to Sports Illustrated model Jessica White, hip hop model Amber Rose and Nicole Murphy, the ex-wife of Hollywood star comedian Eddie Murphy.

Carey and Cannon have twin three-year-olds together that split time residing with each parent.
