The Blob will make an appearance in the upcoming "X-men: Apocalypse."

After it was announced that Apocalypse will have four horsemen in the upcoming film, Benjamin Malatre Bureau recently posted a picture on Instagram with an "X-Men: Apocalypse" souvenir keychain. In the picture he wrote that he received the keychain after spending four days on the set in Quebec.

On the picture Bureau also noted that he hung out with Ben Hardy (Angel), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), as well the actor of the Blob.

Bureau noted in a comment that there won't be a fat suit or any CGI used to bring The Blob to life. He states that a 540-pound French-Canadian actor will be playing him.

The Blob is the latest character in a line of X-Men that will appear in the upcoming film. The Blob, also known as Frederick Dukes, first appeared in 1964's "X-Men #3." In the comics, he is one of the team's oldest enemies and was recruited by Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. His many powers include super strength, extreme endurance to physical injury, and being able to generate a gravity field that makes him immovable while on the ground.

It is the second time the character will appear in a franchise film, as he was previously played by Kevin Durand in 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Whether the Blob actually fights in this film is unknown. However, what is known is that Apocalypse will team up with Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, Angel, and William Stryker to fight the X-men team.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 27, 2016 and is reported to tell the story of a supervillain who the X-men have a hard time destroying. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Olivia Munn and Rose Byrne are slated to star in the film.
