The new "Minecraft" update has been revealed.

According to the makers of "Minecraft," the newest update has finally arrived. The update is included in the AD Reforged Resource Pack. The new update includes the following:

  • New "attack strength" combat mechanic.
  • Maps now start at a more useful zoom level.
  • New recipe for zooming in a map.
  • Lots of optimisations!
  • Improved command blocks.
  • Worsened Zombies' arms getting tired.

Seems like the update is focusing on the gameplay of the game. There will be a new "attack strength" mechanic that will help out the player.

The new update will also improve the texture of the game meaning no more frame rate issues in "Minecraft."

On Twitter, "Minecraft" developer Jens Bergensten announced the update via Twitter:

According to the Boston Globe, a Boston movie theater was filled with kids for a Super League Gaming Minecraft tournament yesterday. The tournament is held every year in various cities across the country.

Brett Morris, President of Super League Gaming, said this idea came about when he and a group of dads were reminiscing about the days of them playing "Pac-Man" and "Asteroids." He thinks that there is a social aspect to games today.

"There's this stereotypical gamer that I think people associate with being an introvert ... but you realize pretty quickly that they don't necessarily want to game by themselves," he said. "That's their only option. Once they're around a bunch of like-minded kids it's a different story. They come out of their shell."

"Minecraft" is one of the most popular games of all time with over 100 million registered users.
