The Pittsburgh Pirates celebrated "Star Wars" night at PNC Park last night. Hundreds of people were decked out in "Star Wars" gear and were watching the game, according to FanSided. This promotion is becoming very popular around all major league ballparks. As you can see from the video, everyone was getting on the fun, including the Pirates TV broadcasting team.

Perhaps the best moment of Star Wars night is a couple of fans brought a Jolly Roger Stormtrooper flag that makes all the other flags in the stadium looked foolish. You can check out a photo of the flag below:

There were more Star Wars related themes. Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang received the "Star Wars" treatment as his scoreboard graphic called him "Kang Solo." You can check out the photo of the graphic below:

Star Wars Night has become a popular promotional event across the country. Teams like the Pirates, Diamondbacks and Giants already hosted Star Wars Night this season.

In case you are wondering, the Pirates beat the Arizona Diamondbacks last night by the final score of 4-1. Looks like the force was with the Pirates last night. Currently, the Pirates are in second place in the National League Central and hold the first wild card spot in the National League.
