"Pretty Woman" star Richard Gere is still looking for a buyer for his Hamptons estate.

Gere offered his New York compound for $47.5 million, Variety reported. The famous Hollywood star has been trying to unload the property for the past two years, noted the real estate blog site.

In 2013, it was listed for a whopping $65 million, or $17.5 million more than its current advertised asking price, Curbed New York announced. Although the property has been reduced by nearly 27 percent already, it was still more than four times the total amount Gere paid for it through three separate transactions from 2005 to 2008 when he acquired the compound, noted Variety.

The 65-year-old star's abode, dubbed as "Strongheart Manor," is an expansive estate covering 6.3 acres of North Haven land with beautiful scenery such as "rolling lawns," "flowering gardens," and even waterfront views, courtesy of the 300-foot bay frontage. The 12,000 square-foot-home reportedly includes 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

Other features are kitchen with an island that also serves as a breakfast table, a living room, fireplaces and balconies, as seen from the images on the New York outlet, while Variety noted that the villa also has a 60-foot swimming pool and an outdoor basketball court. Aside from the main house, a teahouse, a pond, and two guest houses make the property a restful place to stay.

Although the said home was built in the 1900s, it has been renovated to fit the modern times, as shown by notable interior details like naturally-filled rooms, coffered ceilings and sleek renditions.

In a 2012 interview with fellow-celebrity, Susan Sarandon, for the Hamptons magazine, the veteran actor shared what he liked about living in the manor and in the area as a whole.

"I don't even answer the phone. We live in a very quiet place out here; it's not in the middle of it all. It's just all nature and it's quiet. The other stuff is what I like to do, but it's not my life," Gere said, as quoted by Celebrity Gossip.

Based on the photos of the compound, one could truly find the privacy a popular personality is longing for in the Hamptons estate. The outdoors will provide a relaxing time with nature. Inside the house, the living spaces were also expansive and comfortable as well.
